RTP Roth IRA Professional Advisor Network Releases Consumer Self-Education Guide
Roth IRA Consumer Financial Education Goal Of New Guide
Raleigh, N. C. The RTP Roth Ira Professional Advisor Network released today the new Consumer Self-Education Guide for investors who are contemplating the Roth IRA conversion decision. The guide is available for free.
“Our new guide is designed to help consumers become better educated about the tax complexities and legal issues related to the Roth IRA conversion decision,” said Thomas Vass, a member of the advisory network and a registered investment advisor based in Raleigh, N. C..
The self-education guide was released as the first step a consumer can take to undertake the Roth IRA conversion to a tax-free IRA account.
“We want the consumer to work through the Guide at their own pace without any outside sales pressure,” said Vass.
Vass explained that after the consumer is better educated, that the first point of contact in advisory network for a consumer is with Lois Hamilton, CPA, who uses the results of the self-education guide to provide the tax and accounting planning related to converting other retirement accounts to the Roth IRA.
“The advice and counsel of a CPA is the essential first step in setting a comprehensive tax and legal strategy,” said Vass.
In the sequence of planning steps in the advisory network, the CPA works with the client to establish a comprehensive strategy, and then she hands the client off to Austin Chestnut, a business and estate attorney with the Shanahan Law Group in Raleigh, who works with the client to configure the legal and estate planning issues involved with the Roth conversion.
“All of us have agreed to cooperate with each other in using the results of the consumer self-education guide,” explained Vass. “Once the tax and legal issues have been addressed, then the client is ready for an investment strategy that fits the client’s long-term goals,” he added.
Interested consumers can obtain a free copy of the guide by contacting any of the professionals in the RTP Roth IRA Professional Advisor Network.
